Hope Park is a garden and leisure area on Lake Road, halfway between Keswick town centre and Derwentwater, with views towards Skiddaw and Catbells. The gardens are looked after by the local council and are lovely for a stroll or a picnic.
For families there’s an 18 hole crazy golf course, a nine hole pitch and putt, a putting green and remote controlled boats on a model of Derwentwater, plus boules and a bird hide. Cafe Hope serves breakfasts, lunches and cream teas all year, and dogs are welcome.
